War Toys is a nonprofit organization that uses play to safely confront the harsh realities of war, promoting peace around the world. Through unique, art-therapy-based collaborations in the field, we gather children’s firsthand accounts of war and use locally available toys to narratively recreate the shared stories at the actual locations.
War Toys: Evac Ops is a cooperative boardgame for three players: a Frontline Rescuer, Combat Photojournalist, and Aid Worker. You must work together and use special skills to save civilians in a dangerous war zone. Work quickly before you run out of time, resources, or luck! The board game can be played digitally or on a printable board. Free lesson plans are included for one, two, and three day workshops.
