Youth Volunteer Program

Are you passionate about Kansas City and volunteering?

The Museum and Memorial invites applications from high school-aged museum enthusiasts who wish to make a significant impact in the community while gaining invaluable experience in a history setting.

Join our volunteer community! We run three sessions each year - Spring, Summer, and Fall. Benefits include museum experience and store discounts.

Applications are currently open for the Fall 2026 session.

How to apply:

  • Visit and fill out the application form
  • A phone interview will be scheduled for this competitive program via email with the Volunteer Program Manager. All applicants under the age of 18 must have parental consent.
Deadline for applications:
  • Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2026. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by Aug. 23, 2026.
