This lesson introduces students to the origins of World War I, focusing on the political, economic and social factors that contributed to the war's outbreak. Through interactive activities, primary source analysis and role-playing, students will explore the complex web of alliances, rising tensions and key events leading to WWI. Using resources from the National WWI Museum and Memorial, students will engage in critical thinking and historical inquiry to understand how Europe moved from diplomatic tensions to global conflict.
