Virtual Reality Experience ‘War Remains’ coming May 2021 to National WWI Museum and Memorial

War Remains, the immersive experience from MWM Interactive (MWMi) will debut at its new home, the National WWI Museum and Memorial in May 2021. Presented by “Hardcore History” legendary podcaster Dan Carlin, War Remains is an immersive VR experience that transports viewers to the Western Front of the First World War. Viewers will witness history unfold from a soldier's point-of-view in this thought provoking, visceral experience.

National WWI Museum and Memorial Announces Gift from Lilly Endowment to Explore Enduring Impact of WWI on Religion and Faith

The National WWI Museum and Memorial has received a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Religion and Cultural Institutions Initiative to establish an endowed curator position on faith and religion, strengthen public programming on religion and war, enhance online exhibitions and resources on religion and increase its collection of religious objects and materials. The grant totals $2.5 million.

This election day, the National WWI Museum and Memorial encourages Kansas Citians to participate in democracy by exercising their right to vote. On Nov. 3, 2020 the Museum and Memorial will serve as a polling location for Ward 1, Precinct 6 residents, as well as individuals registered to vote in Kansas City, Mo within Jackson County.

The National WWI Museum and Memorial, the Doughboy Foundation and the World War One Centennial Commission launched How World War I Changed America today, an interactive educational website about the enduring impact of the World War I featuring videos and podcasts with free resources for teachers, including lesson plans and primary source student activities.
