All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 | A Musical

Music Theatre Kansas City's professional company is proud to present “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914.” Originally created and presented by Theater Latté Da in Minneapolis, this production is a unique work of historical theater, telling the story of the famous 1914 Christmas Truce through soldiers’ letters, journal entries and reports. With an eight-piece a cappella men’s choir – portraying 36 different soldiers from the British, German, Irish and Scottish armies – it features folk songs, Christmas carols and wartime classics ranging from “Keep the Homefires Burning” and “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary” to “Auld Lang Syne” and “Silent Night.” This seasonal message of peace and acceptance will stay with you long after the curtain call.
