100 Years of Winnie: Winnie-the-Pooh Day 2026

Winnie-the-Pooh turns 100! Celebrate and learn more about the real-life WWI bear who inspired the “tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff” with an educational extravaganza for all ages.

 

Schedule
  • 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Participate in activities by partner organizations (while supplies last) — Auditorium Lobby
  • 11:30 a.m. Join The Coterie for a family-friendly 30-minute story time performance. — Auditorium
  • 1 p.m. For the young at heart, a talk on Winnie-the-Pooh’s inspiration for contemporary literature by Kaite Stover, Director of Reader's Services at Kansas City Public Library. — Auditorium
  • Romp through the Hundred Acre Wood on a themed 30-minute guided micro-tour of the Main Gallery (with purchase of Museum admission). Spots are first-come first served. — Main Gallery
    • 10:30 a.m. — tour for children
    • 11 a.m. — tour for children
    • 12:30 p.m. — tour for adults
