The Spark by Hilton location will be the new official hotel partner of the Museum and Memorial. The newly-remodeled hotel stands at 4309 Main Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The former Seville Plaza Hotel was previously part of the Wyndham group.

The partnership will begin at the completion of the hotel’s remodel in May 2026. Booking through a designated weblink serves as an opportunity for guests to support the Museum and Memorial in a unique way: by ensuring a portion of their hotel stay goes back to the Museum and Memorial while eliminating the need to book through a third-party provider.

The “premium economy” hotel is notably only three stops away on the Kansas City Streetcar from the “WWI Museum & Memorial” stop, giving out-of-town guests a place to stay that is both convenient and affordable.

Doug Gamble, a member of the ownership group in charge of the hotel, describes the partnership as a way to change how booking and commissions work. He also noted that guests are able to book rooms at the hotel in advance of their May 2026 opening date.

“We are excited to have Spark by Hilton as our Official Hotel Partner,” said Karis Erwin, Vice President of Marketing and Guest Services at the Museum and Memorial. “Not only is the property conveniently located and priced, the give-back model is incredibly unique in the industry and something we’re eager to explore together.”

The partnership is echoed by similar agreements with the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium and the UMKC Roo Athletics department.

Guests who wish to stay at the hotel will be able to access the hotel’s site directly from the Museum and Memorial’s website. After clicking the link, they will be directed to the Spark by Hilton’s official website where they can follow the prompts to book their room. A portion of the room-night’s proceeds will directly benefit the Museum and Memorial.
