Pershing Lecture Series: The British Indian Army – Geoff Babb
In 1914, the British Indian Army (BIA) was one of the largest ground formations in the world, with over one million soldiers deployed in units across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. By the war's end, nearly 70,000 men from the BIA were lost in service to the British Empire. Join historian Geoff Babb in examining the contributions of these soldiers to the Allied war effort.
