Story Time: Sergeant Stubby

In honor of National K9 Veterans Day, celebrate the service of WWI’s most decorated dog, Sergeant Stubby! The mascot of the 102nd Infantry, 26th Yankee Division, Stubby fought alongside American soldiers in France and participated in 17 battles. Join Museum and Memorial educators for a family-friendly craft, a reading of Michael Foreman’s book “Stubby: A True Story of Friendship” and a special virtual guest appearance. Hosted in partnership with the National Museum of American History, and in conjunction with the exhibition The Little War.
