Children’s Story Time: Raggedy Ann

Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 - 10:30 a.m. Auditorium Lobby

In September 1915, artist and author Johnny Gruelle patented a character who became a household name: Raggedy Ann. During a time of global war, he wanted to inspire “love, kindness and good morals” with his creation. Whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, join Museum and Memorial educators for a family-friendly craft and reading from one of the first Raggedy Ann stories published in 1918 for young audiences.

Hosted in partnership with The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures.
