Rise Above: Traveling Exhibit

Wednesday, Oct. 19 - Friday, Oct. 21 U-shaped Drive

Rise Above is a fully functional mobile movie theater featuring two compelling original short films that tell the stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and the WASPs (Women Airforce Service Pilots), and the obstacles they both overcame to be able to serve their country during WWII. The timeless lessons they teach us about perseverance and courage are just as applicable today as they were in the 1940s.

This immersive experience is housed in a climate controlled 53’ semi-trailer with expandable sides and equipped with a ramp and hydraulic lift to ensure access to all, comfortably accommodating 30 visitors for each showing. Because of its dynamic 160-degree panoramic screen, the film creates the feeling of being in the cockpit soaring above the clouds.

Free to the public | North end of the U-shaped Drive

Funding for the exhibit is provided by Robert Brogdon of Olathe Buick GMC.
